Muni’s journey in hospitality has taken him from the kitchens of luxury five-star hotels to leading restaurants, cafés and bars, each experience shaping the values he carries into his own business today.

“Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside talented chefs and hospitality professionals, refining my skills in culinary excellence, leadership, and customer experience. One of my proudest achievements was winning the prestigious Moffat Salon Culinary Competition in both Fiji and New Zealand, a recognition that reflects my commitment to creativity, discipline, and high culinary standards.”

Muni has also had the honour of serving as Executive Chef at a four-star island resort in Fiji, where he led kitchen operations, developed menus, mentored young chefs, and delivered memorable dining experiences for guests from around the world. It is there where they met with Shital and later on moved to New Zealand and started a family.

Shital’s culinary journey in Auckland began at Cin Cin on Quay, where she discovered her passion for professional cooking. From there she joined Cafe Hanoi, taking the opportunity to refine her skills in modern Vietnamese cuisine.

“I learned the importance of balancing flavour, creativity, and presentation.”

Her career continued to Rainbow's End, where she delivered quality food while creating memorable experiences for guests of all ages.

Along the way, the couple became proud parents of two beautiful children. Parenthood gave them a new appreciation for family, balance, and the power of sharing meals with the people you love.
